Mitch has been a resident and business owner in 100 Mile House for 24 years and has served on Council as a Councillor for 10 years. Mitch spends as much time as possible with his family and is also involved and supports many aspects of our community. He spent many years on the Board of the 100 Mile House Lions Club and has participated and supported many other charities and organizations in our community.
Mitch is a past member of the 100 Mile House Fire Department and past President of the South Cariboo Fire Fighters Association. When on Council, Mitch held the position of Chair for the Public Works Committee for 10 years, was a member of the South Cariboo Recreation Commission for 6 years and Chair for Community Schools for 5 years.
Mitch believes in putting the interests of the citizens of 100 Mile House first and he will continue to work hard on economic stability and development. Mitch's door is always open to the public and community and looks forward to hearing all ideas and exploring community ideas.
Born and raised in Mission BC, Dave arrived in the 100 Mile House area in 1994 with wife Kerri. An avid outdoorsman Dave enjoys fishing, hunting and motorcycling. He is currently President of the 100 Mile Fly Fishers and a Director of the Lone Butte Fish and Wildlife Association. Dave is the Manager of the 100 Mile House Total Pet store.
Dave is passionate about our community and feels this is a wonderful place to call home.
Councillor Hadden and his family live in the 100 Mile House region. Bill and Maureen have been married 24 years and they have 3 grown daughters. The Hadden family lives on a farm and has a secondary employment in the forest industry. Bill looks forward to serving the residents of 100 Mile House for the next 3 years.
Mel Torgerson moved to the Canim Lake area over 20 years ago. Prior to that time, he lived in Delta, BC where he worked as a Police Officer for the Municipality of Delta. He has worked within various businesses throughout 100 Mile House.
In 2001, Mel and his wife, Kim, purchased a home within 100 Mile House and in 2004 he attended Thompson Rivers University - successfully graduating from the Home Support Residential Care Attendant Program. Since that time, Mel has been working as the General Manager for the Carefree Manor.
Mel is an active member of the 100 Mile House Advisory Committee for Literacy Now. Since being elected Mel has been appointed to various committees such as Education, Hospital, Chamber of Commerce, Fire Department Liaison, 100 Mile & District Safety Committee and the South Cariboo Tourism Advisory.
Mel, his wife Kim and son Marty just recently purchased 99 Mile Motel with the intention of a gradual transition to supportive housing for seniors. In Mel's off time he enjoys golf, golf and more golf. Mel and Kim look forward to touring around in their 34 foot motor home.
Jeanne was born in Invermere, BC and moved to Forest Grove with her family in 1972. Jeanne attended 100 Mile Junior and Peter Skeene Ogden for all her high school years. Jeanne and her husband Todd have three grown children. Their children kept the family very busy while actively involved in sports, arts and equestrian activities.
Jeanne was on the 100 Mile Minor Hockey Executive for many years, holding positions of Vice President, Secretary and Co-Chair for the 1998 Pee Wee Provincials. Jeanne also held the President and Secretary positions on the Forest Grove Slow Pitch Executive for three years.
Jeanne has worked at Ainsworth Engineered for the past 22 years.
In her spare time, Jeanne likes to spend time with her family and friends, camp, quad, garden and volunteer.
Jeanne is dedicated to the needs of the citizens of 100 Mile House and will govern with intergrity and honesty.
