Community Forest

The 100 Mile Development Corporation manages the Community Forest on a multi-use basis with the primary focus on good environmental stewardship, guaranteed recreational and public use opportunities and the continued enhancement of the forest resource.  Management objectives always address the stability of the local economy while preserving the complete community forest resource for future generations.

When You Are in the Community Forest

  • Respect other users of the forest
  • All garbage to be packed out
  • Stay on existing trails
  • Respect private property and fences
  • No trail-building
  • Firewood cutting is allowed, but requires a free permit from the District of 100 Mile House and Ministry of Forests, Lands & Natural Resource Operations

Please see the

and zoom into your area of interest.

Use at your own risk:

  • Trails are un-maintained 'recreational' trails
  • There are natural hazards in the forest (e.g. bears, cougars)
  • There may be active logging in the forest from time to time
