Mobile Vendor Business Licence

Mobile Vendor's are required to submit a new business licence application each year. This includes a new Application, proof of Liability Insurance (if applicable), current Health Operating Permit, and inspection from the Fire Department annually. Update or Cancel a Business Licence

If your business has moved, your mailing address has changed, or you have recently purchased a business in the District, please complete the business licence update form and email it to info@100milehouse.com

Note: It is important that business owners notify the Business Licence Department at the District if their business has moved to a new location.

Depending on the type of business and its location, a building and/or fire inspection may be required. These inspections help ensure the premises meet current safety standards and provide a safe environment for both employees and customers.
For business that require Interior Health approval (such as personal services, food preparation or childcare), please note that these approvals cannot be transferred to a new owner or location. Updated approvals must be obtained directly from Interior Health.

Cancel Your Business Licence

Sign Permits

In 100 Mile House, a Sign Permit is required prior to any new signage installed, altered or relocated. Every business requires a Sign Permit.

Do I need a business licence? If you are doing business within the District's boundaries then we require you to have a business licence.

Can I do business prior to receiving my business licence? No.

Why can't I have my business at this location? Not all zones in the District allow for all business types to operate out of. In order to prevent business licence denial's please make sure to review our Zoning Bylaw and reach out to the District at 250-395-2434 or info@100milehouse.com before signing a lease.

How long does it take to get a business licence? We try to have your business licence back to you in 10 business days. This can be delayed if parts of the licence application are missing or if you are doing construction or renovations as your building permit must be completed prior to issuance of your business licence.

Why do I need to contact the Fire Department? All business's operating within the Districts boundaries must pass a Fire Inspection prior to the issuance of your business licence. Store front business's can expect an annual inspection after the issuance of their licence. For Mobile Vendors this inspection is an annual part of your renewal process and must be completed prior to the issuance of your Mobile Vendor Licence each year.

Do I require a business licence if I am hosting an event in 100 Mile House? Depends on your event. Please contact the District at 250-395-2434 or info@100milehouse.com to see if your event requires a Special Event Licence.
