Clarification: As per provincial legislation, the due date is July 2nd of each year but due to the covid-19 Pandemic, council has extended the penalty date to September 30th, at which time penalties and interest will be applied
The 2020 property tax due date is July 2nd, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Penalty Date has been extended to September 30th, 2020.
A 10% penalty will be added to the current property taxes outstanding on October 1st, 2020. These penalties are a requirement of the Local Government Act. The District has no authority to waive or modify these penalty amounts.
The Province announced that penalties on property taxes for Class 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 were delayed to October 1st, the District of 100 Mile House has in turn made this date applicable to all properties.
